Ella is ONE!

Today we went to the Brevard County Zoo to celebrate Ella's first birthday. Corrie, Olivia, and Ella were in town from Chicago. We had the best time. Ella and Olivia had ALL of their cousins there (from both sides of the family). It was so cute to see the kids together. TJ and Tyler both enjoyed the animals. The zoo had a special dinosaur exhibit that Chuck took TJ to. TJ was proud of himself becasue he was only a little scared of the big ones. The little ones weren't scary at all. We feel so blessed that we were able to spend this time with our family.

Tyler and Wyatt

Ginger was in Orlando today and came by to see us. It was SO great to spend some time with her and to watch the boys play together. Wyatt is such a happy baby and he really enjoyed Tyler. It will be fun to watch them grow up together.

Happy Valentine's Day!

We had a WONDERFUL Valentine's Day. I have this thing about making holidays special - at least I try. So this morning when the boys woke up I had the table set for "Valetine's Day". I had heart shaped muffins for the boys to eat for breakfast and TJ got to even have a heart shaped lolipop before he went to school. TJ was SO excited about his valentines from school. When he got home I told him who each valentine was from. Later that night he shocked me by remembering who had given him each valentine. There are 15 kids in his class and 3 teachers, he knew every one of them. Tonight for dinner I made some of the kids' favorite things and we had Gram over to eat with us. Before dinner we let the boys open their Valentine presents (their Gram, Aunt Melodie, Uncle Jay, Aunt Stacy and Uncle Chad spoil them- they are SO BLESSED!) They had a TON of cards to open as well. I put all of the cards in a red basket and after dinner TJ had me read each one to him. He would carefully pull out each card and bring it over to me to read. He would make a comment about each card and then carefully put it in its own stack. It was so much fun to watch him enjoy the cards. The Foreman family sent him a Lighting McQueen Valentine that when you open it, the car starts its engine. Of course, it was TJ's favorite card. At the end of the day the boys knew they were loved and knew it had be a VERY SPECIAL day.

Fun in the Sun!

We met our friends Mason and Lyla Grace at the park today. The kids got to play at the new community "water park" for the first time. The high was 84 and the sun was out. It was a beautiful day and the kids really enjoyed the water. I am sure we will have many more playdates at this park.

Playing Together

Tonight the house got really quite and when that happens I get a little nervous. So when I went to find out what was going on I found my sweet boys playing cars together. It gave me hope for future playtimes. They are just now starting to play together. TJ tells Tyler what to do and Tyler does whatever he wants. It seems to work for them at the moment, it will be fun when Tyler gets his own voice.

Run Around the Universe

Chuck, TJ and Gram all participated in the Run Around the Universe walk/race at Universal Studios today. Chuck got the unique opportunity to run with one of the students in his class. I think it was a challenge for him to run with Chuck but he kept up with him. A fourth grader is not going to let his TEACHER beat him. My mom walked the 5K and had a good finsh. TJ was the last to "race" and of course he did a great job. He was the only one that came home with a ribbon. It was a beautiful morning and the kids were great. We look forward to more "race" days.
