Family Picnic

Today we got to go on a family picnic. It was a gorgeous day. After our picnic we walked around the lake and then we rented the swans and took a "spin" on the water! Tyler was ready for a nap and cried for the first half but then realized that we weren't getting out and finally calmed down enough to enjoy it. We were thankful for the beautiful day and the wonderful memories.

Rebounderz

If you are looking for a place to work muscles in your body that you didn't know you had - then we have found the place for you. Today we visited REBOUNDERZ as a family and had a blast. I am not sure if the kids or adults had more fun. For one hour we jumped as much as we could. I didn't quite make it for an hour but I sure tried. I definitely think this will be a place we will return to in the future. As you can see from the first picture TJ was soaked when he took off his helmet - he had sweat so much it looked like he had just gotten out of the shower.

Foreman Family Christmas

This year we started our family Christmas at church. We all attended the service together and then went back to mom's house for brunch and presents. The adults all fill each others stocking and then we each open all the gifts in our stockings allowing the youngest to open first. When all the stockings are opened the kids get to open their gifts. TJ and Tyler were really excited about the garbage truck and big rig transporter that Gram got them. TJ had been asking for that Big Rig for months.

Christmas Night Hay Ride

My sister has started a family tradition of her own! She hosts the Christmas night hayride. It is such a fun time. We meet at her house for appetizers and desserts as well as cupcakes for Jesus! Then we all put on Santa hats and get our bells on and pile into the back of Chuck and Travis' trucks (which are filled with hay and decorated with lights). We then sing Christmas carols and the trucks go around the neighborhood. We really have a great time and I think we are actually spreading some Christmas cheer too! This tradition also makes my favorite things list!

Christmas Day Play

The boys were eager to get their car and truck outside to play. It was a little overcast but the high was in the low 80's. Yes, another Christmas in shorts - I LOVE it!!! Chuck is training for the Disney marathon so we also went on a family "run". That means that Chuck runs and I ride the bike and pull the boys in a trailer. My mom joined us and she rode her bike too. We went for 8 miles - at least we can enjoy a second dessert later today and not feel guilty.

Christmas Morning

Baby Jesus is always in the manger on Christmas morning. The boys took turns taking care of baby Jesus and holding him. Melodie and Jay stopped by to see if Santa came and of course to bring presents. We also exchanged gifts as a family and just enjoyed a relaxing morning.

Santa Came!

The boys were up early this morning to see if Santa came - and he did! Santa brought TJ a black truck and Tyler a blue car. He also left Thomas coloring books and a Thomas train for each of them as well as a full stocking. The boys had a great time "driving" their cars inside - until they were informed that they would be kept in the garage and be outside toys.

Christmas Eve

We have a few family traditions that we carry out on Christmas Eve. One is attending the candlelight service at our church. I think this is at the top of my favorite things list. I just love the opportunity to focus on the birth of Jesus and to truly celebrate Christmas. After the candlelight service we allow the boys to open two presents. One is a Christmas book that we can read that night and one is always special pajamas to wear on Christmas Eve. I have really enjoyed starting family traditions that we can enjoy from year to year.

Christmas Program

Tonight was the Christmas program at TJ's preschool. He did such a great job. The best part for the boys was the cookies after the program. They both really seemed to enjoy them.

Grandpa Comes to Town!

Grandpa Don came to Orlando for a conference and we got to spend the weekend with him. Of course we put him to work. TJ had been given a bike but it needed some work. So Don fixed the tires and put on the training wheels for TJ. Then he helped TJ feel comfortable on the bike. We are so proud of our little bike rider - I can't believe he is big enough for a BIG BOY bike.
