Disney Marathon!

Chuck and Bobby at the end of 26.2 miles!
You can see Chuck giving me a little wave!

4:30 am we were at Disney ready to support our Men!

We were at the start and were so excited for Chuck and Bobby.

We had 13 people at the finish eagerly waiting for the guys to finish.
Chuck ran his first marathon with his brother today. He has been training for months and for many of his runs I would go with him on the bike. We really felt like this was a family event and we were all so excited for Chuck. We left the house at 4:00 am to be at the start of the race. The fireworks to start the race went off at 5:50 and we were able to see Bobby and Chuck at 5 different places on the course. Chuck had three goals as he went into the race. He wanted to finish in less that 4 hours, he wanted to look better than the people around him when he finished and he wanted to beat the jogging juggler. He was able to accomplish ALL of his goals. I couldn't have been more proud of him. He stayed with his brother until mile 23 and they had kept about a 9:30 min. mile the whole race, then at mile 23 Chuck took off and ran each of the last three miles in less than 7 min. pace. He finished in 3 hours and 48 min. - meeting his goal. He is already talking about his next marathon. I will be just as excited for him when he does it again.
